NZ Music Month kicks off today and at 9pm tonight Alt TV will beginning streaming online, a first for a NZ television channel.

Just before Korn’s Auckland concert at Vector Arena on Thu 24 April, I got the chance to sit down with Korn bassist Fieldy and have a bit of a chat.

The interview will screen soon on Rockzilla/Alt TV very soon and I’ll keep you posted as to when.

Two interesting things I’ll share at the moment is that Fieldy has written an autobiography titled ‘Got The Life’ and he insists people’s jaws will drop when they read it. It’s available for pre-order from Amazon.

Korn’s next album will be recorded with Ross Robinson who produced Korn’s first two albums. He says they want to go back and capture that raw sound.

ALT TV President, David Kennedy, denies claims by the Commerce Commission that ALT TV has a small audience.

A spokeswoman for the Commerce Commission said ALT TV would not be taken to court for charging 99 cents for text messages. In the Commission’s opinion the station had few viewers and the number of people who took part in the competition was small.

“There’s nothing small about ALT TV, the only thing small is the one complaint we received”, said President Kennedy. “Our latest AC Nielson survey figures show that ALT TV already has 200,000 viewers per month – that’s 5% of the TV viewing population, and only one of those people made a complaint about the text messaging”, he says. President Kennerdy added: “Ask not what your TV station can do for you, but what you can do for your TV station”.
